We had the best time celebrating Christmas with family this year.

Ice skating was a big hit!

Owen loved skating so much and was sad when it came to an end.   We think we found a place to go here in Kansas that isn't too far away.

Pascal grew up ice skating but hadn't put on a pair of skates in over 20 years!  He also had the best time!

I thought this was the cutest picture. I said, "hey guys let me get a picture" and they all held hands without me saying anything!

We got to meet up with friends.  Here we are with our dear friend from Columbia. He was our Pipe Major when we played in the band there.  He was/is a huge mentor in my life!

Mimi helped the kids act out the Christmas Story.  It was so sweet and they were super into it!

Here we are with our second family.  We feel super blessed to have them in our lives!
My mom asked for a family shot so we headed out to Pisgah Forest where we set the camera on automatic and took a few pics.

We presented Mom with the photo below......we told her after numerous attempts this was the best we could do.  I think she was a bit relieved when we gave her a few "different"  shots.
It was a long drive back to Kansas and after saying goodbyes and giving hugs we all felt a bit down.  Today the high was 10 degrees.  So we made soup, put away Christmas decorations, played new games and started a new book.  Settling back into routine.  I put up a new calendar and for whatever reason I always like doing that!  Looking forward to what God has for us in 2015!

Christmas arrived from Switzerland!!  This is always such a treat!!
Pascal and Owen LOVE these little cakes!!

Meg just lost her front tooth the other day and now look at this one!!  The true meaning of the song: "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth."
I couldn't help but put up a few of my past favorite Christmas photos.  I think this is one of the best Santa's we have ever seen.  We saw a Santa the other day walking around a store and Meg whispered to me, "Mom that is not the real Santa... he is wear tennis shoes."

I love the Christmas song by Francesca Battistelli:  Heaven Everywhere.

"Somehow there's a little more love
and maybe there's a little less of us
Or maybe we're just slightly more aware
There's a little bit of heaven everywhere."

Every letter in the Christmas Alphabet pops up!

A handful of board books from when the kids were small.
Anything by Jan Brett is a treat!  She has an awesome web page.  Meg is a big fan!!  Meg loves The Mitten!
