Meg got a magazine the other day and it had all these ways you could pamper yourself.  Here she is trying the cucumber method.

 Owen is still playing hockey.

Super happy to have Mimi here for a couple of days.  We visited some museums with her.

These are shots Owen took while inside.

I found this old school bulletin board at one of my resale shops.  I was super excited about it!

Classic shot of boys playing in the water with their socks on!
and then there are the girls who work so diligently making delicious mud treats!

Owen is always making something.  Here is his latest creation on a tree outside.

We have new neighbors! and one is the same age as Meg!!

and that's a wrap!

Meg and the girls love to catch frogs!  This will bring them hours of fun.

A typical frog hunt!

I love that they find such joy in nature!  They will giggle and laugh and then giggle some more!

Here they are looking for a froggy friend......
The other night at 9:00 I realize that Meg and girls forgot about the frog in the bucket.  So I head out to let the poor fellow go.  As I am letting him go Meg comes out and says, "mom, there is a skunk by the tree not too far from you."  I said, "Meg, now is not the time to joke."  Well, I look over and sure enough a big skunk is waddling our way.  I made a dash for the door!   For the past few nights we have watched from the window and have seen the same skunk come around the patio.   I think he likes to make the rounds!

Sweet friends!

                                                                A tea party!
Meg LOVES to work in the kitchen.  she is also a big fan of the show The Pioneer Woman.  She will watch an episode and come to me with all kinds of ideas.  This week she was really inspired to make bean burritos.
One of Meg's gifts is words.  She is always making pictures, notes, bookmarks...

This note says:  In Meg's Room God Shop... Please come
She is forever crafting! She likes to make things and then sell them at her "store".  Often she will say she is having a "sale" and everything is free!  or she will say, "please come I take any kind of money even coins!"

She loves the glue gun!
I took the kids to the pool and we had it to ourselves!!  just the kids and 4 lifeguards!!

One of our best friends is leaving this week!  We spend a lot of time with this little guy and his family I know there will be some tears.  I am dreading saying goodbye.   This is going to be a tough one!

Here are a few pages out of Meg's Church Journal.  They make me smile.

We are trying to do a bit of school each day but I think I counted the other day that our door bell rang 4 times before 10:00!  I try not to stress and let the kids run and play ....next week all the kids head back to school and I know our neighborhood will feel deserted!  So I let them play and play and then play some more!!
