Week In Review

Pascal ran a marathon last weekend.  This is taken later in the day.  I failed to get any pictures at the race.  There were thousands of runners so we dropped him at the start line came home and then went back to pick him up when he was done.  So funny to get a text.  "Honey, I'm done."
We had to park super far away when we went back to get him.  All the roads near the course were blocked.  Poor guy had to walk over a mile just to find us at the end of the race.  Nothing like running 26 miles and then having to walk a long way to your car!!   Way to go Pascal!!

 We checked out this lake.

Meg's hair is getting long and this is my attempt for "Sunday" hair.
Meg requested a picnic on the beach.  So we packed a little bag and then headed off.  Owen and Meg love to play badminton.

 Hockey games and practices
a few action shots of #17

Meg put on a magic show with her neighborhood buddy.
and just like that 5 of Owen's teeth were pulled out.
Here he is after the surgery.  He was amazing!  They gave him laughing gas and he was a bit dazed when it was over but two hours later he asked for tater tots.  He took zero pain meds after it was done.   Later in the day he said, "mom the doctor was so nice.....but I have no idea what his face looks like."  I told him that is the affect of the laughing gas.

A little of Owen's art work
We made this paper model of Shakespeare's Globe.
Here is our attempt at a map of Switzerland
 Meg's castle
After Owen's hockey game Pascal treated us to lunch at this French Cafe.  He had a lovely time talking to the owners in French and we loved the food.  Regardez toutes ces patisseries!

Owen really enjoyed this sandwich.  We are a little bit snobby when it comes to bread.  We like European bread....crusty on the outside soft on the inside.  This bread was spot on!!
 Someone was super happy!
I just think it is funny to see these guys all around our yard.
Talking about bread this is our weekly bread run.
 Blueberries for $1.00

I LOVE Blueberries and they make me happy.

What We've Been Up To

The kids I and headed out to Shim Creek one afternoon.  It is so nice to have this scenery down the road.  We are feeling super blessed to being living in such a beautiful place! Owen was in charge of the camera this day!

A little "2016 Year in Review" I had the kids do

As a little writing assignment I had the kids make a flyer as if Martin Luther was coming to give a talk.  This is Meg's flyer.

During a move we always have somethings damaged.  This time my new linen couch cover was damaged.  I have filled out countless amounts of paperwork.  It is such a pain to file a claim for damaged goods.  I am sure they do this in the hopes that people will not jump through all the hoops in order to get a few dollars for their damaged goods.  But I am sticking with it. I am determined!  I will see this through.  I filed all the paperwork and now they want pictures!  So here are my pictures I'm sending to the moving company.  It will be interesting to see what they want next. I w....i..l..l  Not g..i..v..e..  u..p..!!

 Our schoolroom
The space under the clock is "Pascal's space"  He is working with the kids on a "project" .  More on that to come.
 Meg's corner

We love riding our bikes.  Sometimes we go for a ride after lunch, on this particular day Owen was startled because this guy flew by him.

This owl had such personality.  He would look and look at us then fly to a new branch.  We would follow him on our bikes.  Wish I had better pictures.

Owen started drumming lessons this week, I'm so hoping he will "stick" with it.  Selfishly as a piper I would love to have my own personal drummer! Poor guy has to have 5 teeth pulled on Tuesday. He just got braces a few weeks back.   I was looking through the photos on my phone to find one that showed his braces.  I found these.   This kid... is eating me out of house and home.  I can't seem to fill him up.

This little one is growing into such a lady.
Here are two quotes from Mistress Meg

"Mom, I'm having such a good hair day...I sure hope I don't jinks it."

Meg and Owen LOVE Sister Schubert's Rolls.  Because of the holidays our grocery store had been out for awhile.  Last week we went by the frozen section to check for some and they had them!  Meg said, "Thank you LORD,  Mom isn't God good!"

Amen sister!! We all love us some Sister Schubert's Rolls!

and thats a wrap!
