Brothers

This is a video of Pascal and Laurent using Owen's Nerf swords and having a duel.

Easter in Switzerland

Here we are at some Roman Ruins in Switzerland.  When Pascal was a little boy he would have his birthday here, it was one of his favorite places
Hiding easter eggs!
This picture makes me laugh!  Pascal's mom is the sweetest lady and she couldn't not get all of Pascal head in any of the shots!

Bikes and the Zoo

Took the kids to the zoo while Pascal was out of town.
I was so thrilled to find this bike at the Recycling Center.  Dad put the kiddy cart in the back of the Jeep when it was shipped overseas and so now we are set to Roll!

On Sat. we visited Playmobile Park and we had a grand time.   Pascal has grown up playing with these toys and he was just as exctied to be there as the kids were.  It truly was one of the best places we have ever been.  There are no rides just tons of places to play!  It was an amazing experience and if you come to Germany we'll take you there!

The City of Worms

Here we are in the city of Worms, most famous for the Diet where Martin Luther stood in front of the Holy Roman Emperor and didn't budge on his beliefs.
The city was having a garden festival and they had their famous food stands!!  Here is the brat stand.  They have these huge hanging grills that cook the sausuage.  The smell is amazing and yes even I like a bite of a good brat!  I was drawn to the stand that had a sign advertising something called "potatoe in a cup."  I love potatoes so I decided to give it a try and it was the best!  They take mashed potatoes and then mix in different vegtables and cheese.  One of the best things I've had in Germany thus far!
The streets were filled with these flower vendors, I have never seen such beautiful flowers.
I was thrilled to go into the Euro store, very much like the Dollar Store back home.
Inside of the church
Also located in Worms is the oldest Synagogue in Europe.  It was burned in 1938, but rebuilt in the 1950's using the same stones.
It was the sweetest little place.
The little town was only a 40 min. drive and we had a great time.  Our goal every weekend is to go and explore and this was another great time with lots of memories.

Bremerhaven

Last weekend we got up at 3AM to start a 5and1/2 hour drive to get our jeep way up at the port city of Bremerhaven.  It was an interesting day as we also stopped by a little zoo for the kids and also Bergen Belsen (the concentration camp where Anne Frank died).   We then drove all the way back within a 24 hours period - my conclusion .....never again!
The port was fascinating.... it was like this city within itself.  We saw massive boats and thousands of cars most likely being shipped all over the world.
Here we are at the zoo, this seal played and played with Meg.

Saturday Fun!

We started out our day by visiting a German Flee Market and it was such fun to look around and mix with the local German community.  Didn't come home with any goodies but I am going to visit there again
Next we visited a town just 5 miles down the road and they had this castle and gardens that are said to be some of the most beautiful in Europe!
They had huge fields of flowers
Ice cream break.  The kids were wearing out and we didn't even do 1/2 of the gardens
The ride home!
A great day!
