Lately Meg's outfits have been cracking me up.  We have been having a lot of what I like to call, "The Punky Bruster Look" going on.  Don't you love the black socks!

Socks are a big deal for Meg.  In the shot below she has on red froggy socks.
Meg loves it when I display her art work.  I decided to make this door her art space.
Meg and I noticed that even our fruit and veggies look like fall.
On Sat. we saw cows being tranported down a highway.  We thought this was pretty cool.

Last Week

Meg had her first dance class last week.  She loved it!  It is just Meg and this other little girl in the class.
We like to cook while Owen is at school. Last week we made our first batch of peanut butter cookies!

Meg loves art and painting.  She spends alot of time making masterpieces!

We've been spending alot of time at the soccer field.  Owen has practice 3 times a week.  Here he is at his first game.

Meg and I headed out early Sat. morning to a children's flee market.  We found all these goodies for a grand total of $10.00
A weekend is never complete without some Marvin time.  So we met Marvin at the park so the boys could play.  200+ plastic soldiers plus a sand pit = 4 hours of fun.

That is a little snap shot of our week.

Friends

Yesterday, Marvin's family picked up Owen and took him to a theme park for the day.  It was Marvin's 8th birthday and he wanted to spend his day with Owen.  These boys met about 1/2 way through their 1st grade year.  Best friends are priceless and I am so thankful that Owen has experienced this at such a young age.  We are trying not to think about the fact that they will be moving soon.  We have a few more months together and we are going to make the most of them.  I put together this little slide show as part of Marvin's gift.  Owen was so proud to give it to him!

Owen's first day of soccer practice

When I picked up Owen from school yesterday he was so distraught.  His teacher had asked him to stop tapping his pencil in front of the whole class. I told him not to worry about it.  I thought it was so cute when he said, "Mom, drumming is just in me."  You will see from the video below that he was born with a tap in his toe!

Family Reunion

We headed to Switzerland on Sunday to attend a family reunion.  Pascal had not seen some of his family for 20 years!

The reunion was at Pascal's cousin's farm.  Meg was thrilled they had horses!

Lots of jumping with cousins!

It was a great day. I had never met some of his family so it was a real treat.  I did a lot of smiling. Somebody needs to learn French!
