Owen and his buddy love to play soldiers.  We gave him this little uniform when he was 5 and at the age of 11 he insist "it still fits."

This reminded me off a little video from long ago:

Spring Break Fun!!

Owen finished out the season for indoor soccer.  One of his best buddies was on a different team but we thought it was super cool that they were both number 3!  Just by chance!!
Fashion Shot of Meg.  She is no longer a skirt girl!!  She likes shorts now.  She added the belt to this outfit and I was totally impressed!

We saw a deer on the last night of Owen's soccer practice.

Owen had an awesome coach and a great team.  When he gave Owen the award he said, "I watched this kid in the goal for 2 seconds and knew he was a hockey player!"
 Great season Cheetos!!!
After soccer ended we headed to the mountains for Spring Break and some down time!!
We always love going to the Biltmore House!!  We were reading The Secret Garden during break and this visit tied in perfectly with the book.
Cousins!!!  Getting two 11 year old boys together is always a hoot!
The things they come up with!!

We went on lots of walks!

Carl Sandburg's house is always a favorite.  I spent many a days here when I was young.

 hiking

Mimi treated us to Yogurt World!
We hiked all over the NC Arboretum.

 played with frogs
had a great fire pit and s'mores night with our dear friends!!

 and more walks!
I ran my old trails that I have been running since junior high - and loved every minute of it!
we played in streams and built dams

 we swung on vines

We played games! We saw  the play of James and the Giant Peach - which was amazing.  We also attended a day called Super Saturday where we saw plays, puppet shows, and all kinds of wonderful performances just for kids.

We were loved up on by family and friends and we are so grateful!  It gave us a huge morale boost!

Yesterday, we were happy to see this truck!  For two weeks we didn't have to worry about bats!! We have had more visitors and so I had to get a little ugly!  After I got ugly I got some action! (it could also be because after I walked out of their office I had Pascal call)  Anyway, we were glad to see the truck.  They worked all day drilling, hammering and working on the roof.  Let's hope that is the end of our bat problem.  I would hate to have to get ugly again!!
