We stopped by our old apartment that we lived in 3 years ago and visited with some of our favorite neighbors!  We were very happy to see them again!

Owen and I finished War Horse over the weekend and this was such a great read!  We absolutely loved it!  What an amazing story.  Pascal and Owen watched the movie together.  Pascal had to ask Owen to please stop telling him what was going to happen next.  Owen said this was one of his favorite books!  I was a bit sad it came to an end.  We really like the author so we hunted all over town to find another one of his books.  We couldn't find any at our local library but found one at a local re-sale book store.   We are a couple chapters in and are really liking it as well.
More attempts at making bread. This recipe was the easiest and got the best reviews from my family soooooo it looks like this one I will try again.

It's really hard to tell but Meg lost another tooth!  Both kids had dentist visits last week.  The dentist noticed it was just hanging on so he just pushed it out!

Here is Meg all ready for church a total Meg outfit!

Meg is not the healthiest of eaters but it cracks us up that her favorite food is black beans.  She eats a minimum of 1 can a week!  Just pop a can and rinse.  She even loves them cold!  Crazy!
So tickled I found a bunch of Lands End shirts at one of my local thrift stores.  A dollar a piece!

Road Race #3 for me while here at Fort Huachuca! Pascal and the kids are so sweet he always places himself somewhere on the course as a surprise for me.  Most often at the top of a hill or where he thinks I will need some encouragement!  Always a great moral boost to see him and two cute kids cheering me on!

Meg lost her first tooth!  It is kinda hard to tell but if you look closely it is on the bottom.  Lately she has been into tying scarfs into her hair.  She lets the tails either hang in the back or she brings them over her shoulders.  She is quite the fashionista!

Owen's school hosted Donuts with Dad.  Owen loves to do anything and everything with Pascal!  They are quite the pair! .  When he was walking out the door he told me not to feel bad because in the Spring they are going to have Muffins with Mom.  Thank goodness I said!  I was starting to feel jealous.

I thought Owen's teacher had the best idea.  She had all of her students write Valentines to each other in class.  I was thrilled with this idea, I really don't care for the cheapie box type.  Owen brought home a big stack on Friday and I thought they were so sweet.  Here is just a sample of a few.

For a Valentines treat I decided to try the ever popular Fruit Pizza.  They are everywhere on pintrest and they look beautiful.  The designs people come up with are amazing.  I started out with inspiration and wanted to make a design hence the line of blueberries but then I became weary and decided on the collage effect.  Anyway, the results are in and Team Reber decided this was an amazing dessert!  Design or no design!

Owen made me this cool crystal heart at school.  He somehow used Borax and a pipe cleaner.  He was so proud of it!
Meg's teacher had the kids take carnations and put the stems into food coloring.  Each child got to pick the color they wanted their flower to become!  You should have seen the kid's faces carrying their treasures to the car to present to me!  I love these sweet homemade gifts.

So happy we get an extra day off this weekend! Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend!

A new week!

It was craft time at the Community Center this weekend!  We don't miss these events.  They provide free snacks, door prizes and crafts!  We absolutely love this once a month get together!
Marvin won the door prize!!!  Go Marvin!

After craft time we usually head outside to the park and play for a bit.  The kids decided to pretend they were paratroopers jumping out of planes.... here are a few action shots!

Owen is not to be left out of this whole fashion thing!  He walked out of his room on Sunday dressed like this!  This is his first time wearing a tie!  He said he wanted to look nice for church.  After church we were running a few errands and two different people told him he looked "cool". A teenage guy at the cash register at Best Buy said, "I like your style dude."  Owen, replied, "Oh, thanks I just went to church."
Meg loves ponchos!  I mean loves them. She had one that she completely wore out.  I was super excited to find this (Gap) one at the Goodwill for $2.00!
This would be a "Meg" outfit!

I made three loaves of bread this week. I am afraid our whole family is missing European bread terribly!  I think we are going through some withdrawal issues in missing some of our European food items.  We completely miss the bread, cheese, yogurt and salami.  Anyway, here was my best attempt.

I couldn't help but think these were some of these sweetest entries in Owen's prayer journal.

I snapped these photos to send to P'tite Mom and Mimi for Valentine's Day.
They were put in the mail this morning along with the craft Meg made at the Community Center.
