Week in Review

Sometimes we mix it up and make apple bread instead of banana bread.
Meg and I tried a little Aladdin inspired art

Our second attempt at Challah  - much better rise but didn't taste good.
 Another new game

I had a race over the weekend and it pored the entire drive there.  I hate running in the rain and was not looking forward to it but I thought about it and just knew I had to do it.  I prayed asking God that it might let up a little.

Here we are at the start/finish line.  God answered prayer and at the start of the race the rain stopped.
We got back in the car to head home and hit rain again.  It was raining so hard people were pulled over on the side of the road.  So glad it stopped for the race.  Also it was 49 degrees.

This is a terrible shot because my phone was in a ziplock baggie but we had to run through this underpass and there was about 3-4 inches of water that had flooded it.    I ran on that little curb to avoid getting my feet soaked.

I treated myself to a Ritter Sport candy bar after the race.  If you have never had one of these go get one.  I love their candy bars so much I went to the factory while I was in Germany!

Meg selected this sweat shirt all by herself and asked Pascal to order it for her.  It cracked me up!
              Love this book!

I collected a bunch of these little library cards when I was a teacher.  They don't use them anymore because everything is computerized.  I use them as book marks but they just make me smile. I look at the names and wonder where those students are today.

I scored this amazing spiral graph kit at a thrift store with all the parts!  I knew Meg would love this.  Was marked $8.00 but was on sale for $6.00!

and that's a wrap! We are all ready for school to be over!  Students are tired, custodial staff, teachers, cafeteria workers and headmaster are pooped.

Week in Review

We made our first challah this week.  It didn't turn out very well so we'll try a different recipe next time.
 We had fun trying though
The kids and I went exploring and we liked it so much we headed back with Pascal over the weekend.

Owen just a hair shorter than Pascal

Owen and food... found this little sandwich on my way up the stairs.
Owen was eating macaroni one day and I said, "Owen you never really liked macaroni do you like it now?"  Owen responded by saying, "Mom,  anything that is filling I will eat."

Owen - "Mom, can I bring this log home please."
Me - Hmmm..... I don't think so.
This kid keeps me laughing
Mother's Day treat
Watching the Harbor Seals always tickles me.  They are the funniest animals to watch as they make their way up onto the beach.
