Weekly Round -Up

We headed down to the beach to try and get a family photo to send to Pascal's mom for her birthday.  We did it old-school style by setting up our camera on a rock and putting the timer on.

Take #1

                                                                       Take #2
                                                           Owen where are you?
                                                                   Take #3
Hello bright sun - we forgot to shoot away and not into you.
                                                                     Take #4
                                                                    Take #5
Take #6 we were laughing so hard because Pascal tripped a little trying to get into the shot before the timer went off
Enough with the timer!  Back to some regular shots

 Meg behind the camera

Owen - can always get us laughing!  He told us to shoot some of his "yoga" moves

He keeps us laughing!  and keeps me busy in the kitchen.  Always HUNGRY!  ALWAYS!
He just came in here while I am typing this to ask me what is for dinner.
A few of Meg's recent reads

Owen read 7 Men and Meg read 7 Women
We finished Night by Elie Wiesel - such a hard and important read.
Our current read-aloud is Rocket Boys -we are so enjoying this book

I am always on the search for books and good read-alouds.  The following books we pulled the plug on.   Sometimes we read a chapter sometimes more.  One of these books we read 3/4 before we called it quits.  For whatever reason these reads just didn't work for us right now.
The Scarlet Pimpernel
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Song for a Whale
Inside Out and Back Again
Brown Girl Dreaming
The Golden Goblet
The Screwtape Letters

Busy days ahead  -  the moving truck will be arriving in the near future!
