Owen Turns 7!

Owen is very excited that his birthday is Wed.  He suggested we decorate early so we could, "enjoy the streamers and balloons."  The decorations are up and we are counting down.  More pictures and video to come.

Gifts for the King!

Before Christmas break a lady from my Women's Bible Study Group approached me and said that on the first meeting in January they would be having a special program called, "Gifts for the King."  The purpose of this program she said is to bring our gifts to the King and we were wondering if you would play your bagpipes.  I love playing my bagpipes but I'm most comfortable in the back of the band, disguised in my uniform and marching down the street for a crowd of people I don't know and will never see again.  So being asked to play in front of a large group of peers is one of the hardest things for me to do.  Sooooooo, I asked my family to help me out.  We had a month to prepare and practice and on Tuesday of this week, Team Reber stood at the back of the Heidelberg Chapel ready to bring our gifts to the King.  Meg danced, Owen played the drum, and Pascal and I played our pipes.  I was so proud of the kids! Later that day in the car Owen said, "Mom, He liked it."  I said who did and he said, "you know Mom, God did!"

I asked Meg to dance again like she did at the chapel -  here is a little taste of what she did on Tues!

A Real Deal

Meg and I scored once again at the local Thrift Store.  We got all of the books pictured above for ...... fifty cents!!  That's right!  We hit the bargin corner collected all these goodies and when I got to the counter the lady said, "how about fifty cents!"  SOLD!  I went to the car so excited I could hardly contain myself.  I also picked up a check for a whole $4.20 for stuff I had sold at the Thrift Store  - Another great day at one of our favorite stops!
