We love a Road Trip!  So we took off super early Friday morning and took in some sites before we pack up and leave AZ.
                                                         A stop off in Sedona

The main road we were going to take out of Sedona was blocked because of the wildfires.  It was sad to see the smoke.

Our 2nd time admiring the Grand Canyon.  Pictures don't do it justice!  It is truly an inspiring landscape!

Owen was super nervous about getting anywhere near the edge.  I think he may have a fear of heights.  He would totally panic when Meg got anywhere near the edge!

                                                            The Hoover Dam!

Then it was off to Vagas!  Owen and Pascal like to watch a show called Pawn Stars on the History Channel.  So we took Owen by the shop so he could see it in person!  He thought this was super cool!
Checking out the store.  They were actually taping later that day.

A visit to the Riverside National Cemetery

Then it was off to The Ronald Reagan Library.  This was our first visit to a Presidential Library and it was amazing.  Truly a great experience, we are excited to see some other Presidential Libraries in the near future.

I didn't know that in each library they re-create the Oval Office.  Each president gets to pick their own color scheme.  Ronald Reagan chose a South Western theme.
I asked Meg when leaving what is one thing you learned about Ronald Reagan.  And she said, "He loved jelly beans!"  and that is true!  He loved them!

This was super cool!  You got to walk through the old Air Force One.  It is set up just like it was when Reagan used it. (Nixon, Ford, Carter,  Bush, and Clinton used it as well.)

                                                        President Reagan's resting place.

We covered many hours and miles on this trip and were able to see some amazing landmarks and gorgeous scenery but the most beautiful site of the whole trip is in the video below!
Enjoy!

Meg lead her class in singing a song at graduation.

Meg graduated Kindergarten!

She was super excited about her last assignment.  She had to come up with the idea for a store.  She had to make 20 items, name her store, make a sign and then run the store while all the other Kindergarten students from the school (5 other classes) shopped.

Some of the ideas her fellow students came up with were super cute!
(I loved how this little gal had bags with her name on them!)
This kid sold out in about 5 min. I think!
This little guy is one of Meg's best friends!  He made some awesome leather bracelets and Meg was first in line to buy one!
This little guy has food allergies so he made all kinds of special cookies without products for allergy sensitive kids.

This little lady sold rock candy and play dough.  Her poster was awesome because it showed how she made each product!

And here is Meg's Pretty Picture Shop!
I had taken some photos of the classes and then she decorated the frames of each one with glitter, feathers, stickers, buttons, stamps.......

Meg was super into this... we made her a name tag and she loved running her "shop"

I was super impressed with these little Entrepreneurs!  Every single student SOLD OUT! A group of soldiers came to help and they even shopped!  All the money was just play money but the kids had a grand time.  The kids selling stuff had just as much fun as the kids buying!  I thought this was such a great idea!  High Five to Meg's teacher for such a great idea!

A Meg outfit with a dash of her personality!

I helped Meg's class make tie dyed tee shirts

I've been going in every week or so and doing Science Experiments with the kids.
The kids really seemed to enjoy the lessons.  Here is a recap of some we did:

Which cans of soda sink or float.

The effects of food coloring, milk and soap

"Dancing Raisins"  The kids loved seeing what happened when we dropped some raisins in Sprite.

This week we made silly putty.  I got lots of  ewwwws and ahhhhs!
It was quite cool to mix some glue with Borax and see the magic happen!

One of Meg's little friends made a necklace with hers.

Owen gave me a few Mother's Day items he made at school.  I couldn't wait to see what he wrote.  I am always very curious what 9 year old little boys think

When he handed me this letter he said, "I really enjoy the bacon you make me in the morning!"

and this pretty oil pastel painting.  This comes with a story.  Years ago when we lived in Saluda,  Owen and Pascal would often take walks in the evening and he loved to bring me back Daffodils.  To this day if he sees one he will say, "Mom, remember when I use to pick those for you."  So when he handed me this picture he said, "Do you remember Mom?"

Oh I remember buddy, I remember it like it was yesterday!

and that's a wrap!  We are on the count down for school ending and the move. In less than 3 weeks the packing truck will be in our driveway!
