Summer Fun  - What we've been up to:

We are still making bubbles!

                                                                 Painting!

We went to a fundraiser for Pascal's job.  They did a pie in the face auction.
They auctioned off 6 pies and it brought in over $300 dollars!

The kids play outside for hours!  I'm always tickled at what they come up with.  Here they are playing police.  The kid in the chair checks people's ID's, if they have it the gate (hockey stick) is raised.
If they are caught running or walking fast that is "speeding" and you will have to go to jail.

behind the hockey goal is "jail"

if you try to escape you could get "pepper sprayed"
Looks like some suspicious activity going on here

earlier in the week they were painting rocks to earn money!  At one point they caught a huge toad and put it in a container and were charging people to see it!!

Thank goodness for neighbors!  We are off to the pool!

Meg and I made up our own bubble solution and she and her friends had a grand time!

Meg found this bubble gun at the thrift store for $1.50 and I wasn't sure if it would even work but it did!

We saw online how to make a bubble snake.  I had been wanting to try this.  We even tried adding food coloring and it was cool.  I didn't snap any pictures of that.  The girls loved catching the bubbles and I found the food coloring stained their hands so we stopped adding color.

Meg was a master at making the snake bubbles!

Owen passed Hockey level 1! So the coaches suggested that he show up on a Wednesday night to play with other kids on his level.  This is the first time he scrimmaged and he LOVED it.  He scored and was super excited!  He is wearing a USA jersey and red, white, and blue socks!

Coming home we had a beautiful sunset!

We are so grateful for awesome neighbors.  We hear our doorbell ring often followed with little voices that say, "Can Meg and Owen play?"  Here they are playing with Playmobil!
Meg loves to play school.  Here she is being the teacher!
As a teacher she has her name tag!
After playing school they moved on to having a lemonade stand!
Until it started to rain so they moved it to someones porch!
 Owen has been up to........hockey.
We heard this the other night and woke up to this.
Here is what we have been doing in the upstairs room.  It isn't finished but we have a good start.
We are turning this room into.......a school room!!  Books are arriving and we are excited to start the new adventure of homeschooling!!
 Meg's desk
 Owen's desk

 Skating time!
I found these on the camera....apparently Meg was taking some selfies!

Here our some of our sweet friends from church.  Mr. Dean lost his wife 5 months ago and always ask for prayer.  He always sits with a sweet young gal whose husband is deployed.  I thought having him over for a meal might lift his spirits.  He talks about his sweet wife all the time, and misses her terribly (he carries tiny pictures of her in his pocket).  He shares the sweetest stories about her.  I thought having him over would brighten his day but he ended up brighting up ours!  When he was leaving he noticed a broken chair I had sitting in the corner he told me he wanted to fix it for me.   I thought that was so sweet.

The weather here is rain...sunny....rain....sunny...rain..........HUMIDITY!  I am sure we will be up at the pool some more this week!
