German Court Ruling......This article made me laugh!

A Germany Court Ruling has made it legal for bosses to regulate whether or not their female employees must wear bras. The regulations made by the court also allow business to mandate fingernail length as well as both head and facial hair grooming.

Germany women bras court ruling:

The verdict is in and a German court has ruled that is allowable for a business to mandate whether their female employees must wear bras to work or not. The court decided this week that it was not a infringement upon personal rights for a boss to require employees to wear bras, keep their fingernails clipped to certain lengths, or keep beards a certain length.

“Being told to wear a bra and to keep fingernails to shorter than half-a-centimetre does not impinge on personal rights,” ruled the court in Cologne. “It is not a disproportionate impairment of personal rights.”

The fact that this went to court seems foolish to me. If you don’t want to wear a bra or cut your fingernails you don’t have to. But at the same time I don’t think the employer has to keep you employed. If you don’t want to dress appropriately for the position you are in then you don’t get to keep the job. My work has a no flip flop policy. If I want to wear flips flops I do it at home or away from work, why because I work in a business setting and flip flops are inappropriately attire. I salute the German court for making a smart decision. Dress code should be applied by the company not the employees. If you don’t want to follow it find a different job.

Same goes for fingernail and beard length. In fact let’s just lump all personal hygiene into one big group and say that if you don’t take care of yourself you are gross and probably unemployable anyway.

My point is I agree with the German courts ruling on women’s bras, if you don’t like it find someplace to work that will let you leave the over the shoulder boulder holder at home.
