What We've Been Up To

Shout out to Little Caesar's Pizza for hosting our end of the school year party.
goodbye to 5th and 7th grade! Hello middle and high school!!

The kids asked me to take them to the hardware store for rope.  Then they built a swing. I need to post pictures of Meg she is on it all the time.

 Searching for treasures
Meg and Owen got a ping and dug and dug..... finally.... they discovered .... a battery

Owen wanted this log and carried it the 1.5 miles back to the car
"Look Mom I can use it for gaming."                He put it in his room and said he was going to use it for his knife collection.  He only has a pocket swiss army knife......but ok.
Off to the East Coast for family fun and adventures.  Check out Meg in her favorite ride.
The kids got to hang out with family and had the best time.

We even squeezed a trip to the beach in.  We grabbed Owen and Meg's buddy from SC and he made the trip extra special.

Meg has a green thumb her tomato plants are huge!  She planted cherry tomato plants this time and I am so excited.  Look at these little beauties.

 Back to garage hockey
Meg picked up archery and loves it!

Meg and I put together a little scavenger hunt for the boys.

The last clue said, "turn in for a sweet treat."  I told them we would walk to the mini mart and pick out a goodie.

I took Owen and his buddies to the rink for stick time.
Doesn't this look like an advertisement?  I took this while I was out running because I thought it was the sweetest little red camper.

We call this little hummer.... bully bird because he sits on our neighbor's lights and guards the feeder. If any other hummers come he chases them away.  Sometimes they will gang up on him and 4-5 will come at one time and there is nothing he can do.  So funny to watch "bully bird".
We wrapped up this book and really liked it.  It is defiantly for middle schoolers.
Almost done with The Hobbit  - another great book!
the summer seems to pick up speed.  Slow Down!!  More summer adventures to come!!
