Goodbye September
Homeschooling can sometimes feel very monotonous. We have a schedule and material we have to get through and sometimes it feels like the days blend together. In the evenings we just sometimes need to get out. God has blessed us with the most amazing place to get out and enjoy. We are so grateful for this amazing place to explore.
and so we get out and breath deep and enjoy the moment
We watched the seals, and otters
and we just soak it in
We went by Michaels this week and picked up some art supplies for my little crafter Miss Meg
She loves to paint and create
One of her pieces
Then she made some paper mache birds - aren't they the cutest!
Final product:
Then we headed out to another "You Pick" Day at the farm down the road
I had it on my calendar for awhile because Mr. Hillard was going to be there and he is a local bee keeper. This really interest me! I want to be his friend.
He brought with him his observation hive. There were 6000 bees in that thing!!
Meg and I looked and looked for the Queen. She made an appearance but by the time we got to the box she had moved.
You can place your hand on the window and feel the heat these bees make!
Here Mr. Hillard is with a jar of his honey.
Then it was off to the fields so Meg could pick
She wanted a little collection in her room.
Banana/blueberry bread - a weekly treat
As were headed out the door I asked Owen what he was eating. This kid!
Meg's tomatoes have brought me so much joy.
and here go the kids and Pascal (who is riding my Huffy) off to play tennis.
and that's a weekly wrap!
Hello October!
