                                                                        Roadtrip!
We packed up for a quick road trip last weekend down to Riverside.  The scenery is so different.
We grabbed some Chick fil-a! Can you believe the closest one to us is 1.5 hours away.  Take a minute to just let that sink in.....1.5 hours away.  We MISS you Chick Fil A!
We also stopped at one of my favorite stores... Aldi!  The closest Aldi is several hours away!
We love catching a service at Harvest.  Phil Wickham was leading worship and we were super excited!  He just released his new CD Living Hope.  If you haven't heard it - check it out.  Go and listen to Owen's favorite song. #9 - Anthem
My favorite is #8 Wild River

His music is a blessing to us!

Then we headed to the Presidential Library of Richard Nixon.  We LOVE Presidential Libraries! So full of history and the coolest artifacts.
Most of the libraries have an exact replica of the Oval Office.  It is always built to the true dimensions and decorated as to the likings of that president.  Mrs. Nixon chose a mustard yellow tone that Meg and I were not a fan of.

 They always have beautiful gardens

Please take a moment to look at Owen's face in every picture.  Welcome to the teenage years where a "normal" face would just not be possible.

Nixon's childhood home. It was the sweetest little house with tons of original items.  Furniture, dishes, curtains, books ect.

The kids were full of questions after leaving this library.  Good thing we had 6 plus hours to explain Watergate on the way home.
Haven't found to many thrift deals lately.  I did come across a bunch of homeschool books that I knew would be perfect for my sister's boys.  Homeschooling Mamas watch out for each other!
Meg whipping up some banana pudding - I think someone is taste testing in this pic!
Lunch prep - I try to prep baggies over the weekend for Pascal's work lunch.  Packing lunches are just not my thing so thankful I just have to do one!
Some little boys knocked on my door with scissors saying they would "trim" my bushes.  So funny.  Then I looked out the window and 2 more boys were trying to get in on the action.  After about 3 min. he knocked again saying they were done and it would be $5.00.  I said, "Whoa... that is a little steep... here is a dollar."  They were thrilled!

 off to the next house.
