Ordinary Days

We are so thankful God shows up in the ordinary.  We seem to have a lot of ordinary days but we always see the hand of God!

We had a day in the 50's!! So we headed outside for Science.  Here we are on the basketball court watching the effects of carbon dioxide gas in small film canisters.  If you look carefully you will see the little white film canister in the air near the basketball goal.  The kids got a kick out of this and we  were surprised with how high they would go! Pop, Fizz, Boom!!

Meg loves to cook so we make things. A lot.
Crispy crowns just make me happy.  I pop some of these in the oven and all is well!
I walked in Owen's room and saw how he had set up his soldiers.  This just made me smile.  The true definition of a battle buddy.

Owen posted this on his door......smile!
Owen, Meg and their friends love to act things out.  Here they are acting out a WWII scene.  When I asked what was going on I was told this soldier had been hit with shrapnel.

I love the bandage (paper towel with red marker).  Glad to know this soldier made it.
We have a candle and music going in the classroom everyday.  I'm all about creating an inviting environment.  I was so excited to find this candle on sale at the store for 3 dollars.  Marked down from 12!  Another happy moment!

 Meg's blackboard in her room.
So glad we have lots of this going on.  The kids love their friends!  Everyone comes out even in the 30's.  Tomorrow's high is 12 degrees.  Looks like the action will be taking place inside!

At our local shopping center Miss Kansas was greeting and signing autographs.  Later when we got in the car Meg wanted to know why she wasn't wearing a sunflower dress.  I guess in Meg's mind she thought if she is representing KS then she needs to show it.   Sunflower dress....heee hee

This is a little blurry but when we pull up at night to park, our neighbor's dogs Jeeter and Lilly are always waiting and looking out the window.  We feel like we have personal greeters.  This just makes us happy.
Our neighbors asked us to watch their puppy while they were out of town.  This is Phoebi and she is 3 pounds of cuteness.  Meg was in love!

She has her very own play pin!

Meg took this job very seriously.  She has asked me at least 50 times if she can start her own puppy walking business.
and that's our weekly round up !
