Weekly Round - Up
Meg is a bike girl she loves to ride the loop. Both she and Owen have grown a lot this year. Her bike from Germany was getting a little too small. Daddy took her out and brought her back with an upgrade!

To say Owen is into hockey is an understatement. I wish so badly we could find him a team. He practices very seriously. We found him this helmet at a re-sale shop. He slept with it on his bed for a week. Please note the baseball glove and soccer pads. He puts on all this gear with such pride! We even had to make a trip to a sports store to pick up a Gatorade Water bottle because that is what real NHL player use!
He asks me to play hundreds of times! I will do my best but after 20 min. I'm hockey'ed out! This kid could play for countless hours. and he does! He has worn down this hockey stick I bought at a thrift store for $1.00 down to half of its size.
He spends time sketching.....you guessed it .....hockey!
This is a typical afternoon at our place. We feel so blessed to live in this neighborhood with all these kids. They hold bike races, make forts, and just play together for hours.
On this day they were holding a bike race. Meg ran in to grab her stop watch and whistles. I'm pretty sure she was running the show. I heard her say at one time, "Bring it in TEAM, Everyone take a water break!"
On the second week of every month our favorite store called Tee la Ree opens. It is only open on the weekend and let me tell you we mark it on our calendar. They bring in the coolest stuff. Her theme is: Repurpose, reuse, resell!! You never know what you are going to find. She has lots of vintage, antiques, quirky finds and just stuff we have never seen. I have found several treasures there!
Last week I found this little book with the doll sitting on a shelf. It is the sweetest little story of a doll who is left in the attic and wonders if she will ever be loved again. The mice fill her in on all that goes on downstairs. She gets very excited one day when the mice excitedly tell her some children are coming. Meg and I are finishing it tonight. Last night Meg said, "I sure hope she gets loved again."
We headed to the dentist today. I have been on Owen's case for the last 6 months to brush Thoroughly! Everynight I say the same thing, "Owen that was NOT 2 min. of brushing."
I thought it was sweet when we got in the parking lot of the dentist office Owen asked if we could have family prayer! Meg prayed and asked God to surrounds us with Angles that will prevent cavities. Well, the kids got glowing reports NO cavities!! but I totally had to do the walk of shame to the car for I came away with TWO!!
