Gifts for the King!

Before Christmas break a lady from my Women's Bible Study Group approached me and said that on the first meeting in January they would be having a special program called, "Gifts for the King."  The purpose of this program she said is to bring our gifts to the King and we were wondering if you would play your bagpipes.  I love playing my bagpipes but I'm most comfortable in the back of the band, disguised in my uniform and marching down the street for a crowd of people I don't know and will never see again.  So being asked to play in front of a large group of peers is one of the hardest things for me to do.  Sooooooo, I asked my family to help me out.  We had a month to prepare and practice and on Tuesday of this week, Team Reber stood at the back of the Heidelberg Chapel ready to bring our gifts to the King.  Meg danced, Owen played the drum, and Pascal and I played our pipes.  I was so proud of the kids! Later that day in the car Owen said, "Mom, He liked it."  I said who did and he said, "you know Mom, God did!"

I asked Meg to dance again like she did at the chapel -  here is a little taste of what she did on Tues!

  1. Oh Grace, I finally had some time to myself to sit and catch up on all your posts. I can't comment on all of them, but know that they have all been read and all the pictures looked at....but this one of Sweet Meg brings me to emotions, I just miss you guys so much and sweet Meg steals my heart over and over again. You are doing an amazing job with your kids and it shows, your gifts for the King were not only for Him, but He shared them tonight with me. I love and miss each of you...-B
