What We've Been Up To
This guy is just like Owen's little brother. Sometimes I see Owen helping him tie his shoes or gear up and it makes me smile. They are quite the pair...buddies.
This lifts our spirit. We walk, we explore we soak it up.
The minis were out the other day when Meg had her lesson.
Meg and I did a little art activity with oil pastels that were super easy and looked super cool
Getting started
Keep coloring
Done
Then you just drag an eraser starting at the middle through the colors. Its called tie dye art.
We finished this book for school - it was on our reading list and boy it was a painful read. We didn't find this one interesting at all. We just....had...to...make...it .... through.
This one we really liked! The kids gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Off to San Diego for the weekend.
A stop at the Botanical Gardens
These gardens were just our speed. No crowds, lots to see, enjoyable walking trails!
Yard art? Owen even looks a bit uncomfortable standing near them
More Art......interesting
While the boys were out running the girls took an early morning walk on the beach
We arrived home and were greeted with an awesome package of goodies from Amy!
Meg put those little felt tip markers right to work with her Spirograph. Meg loves art! We get so excited over a package. Thank you Amy!!
A few of our recent thrift store finds.
I found these shoes for Owen and paid only $4.00 for them. I had a 10.00 gift certificate at this particular thrift store because I am a "Frequent Shopper". Hooray!!
Meg found this sweet little wooden horse cutout for $6.00
Paint!! 50 cents
this little French journal
A pair of Converse shoes for Meg
Sometimes when I am out thrifting I will send a funny text to Owen. I told him I bought him this "I Love Lucy" wallet and these shiny black Vans. He texted me back the following:
I think if I had come home with these items Owen would have looked like this mannequin. This showed up on my feed and it made me laugh.
and that's a wrap!! Hoping warmer and sunnier weather is in our forecast. We are ready to see the sun!
