Ice skating was a big hit!
Pascal grew up ice skating but hadn't put on a pair of skates in over 20 years! He also had the best time!
I thought this was the cutest picture. I said, "hey guys let me get a picture" and they all held hands without me saying anything!
We got to meet up with friends. Here we are with our dear friend from Columbia. He was our Pipe Major when we played in the band there. He was/is a huge mentor in my life!
Mimi helped the kids act out the Christmas Story. It was so sweet and they were super into it!
Here we are with our second family. We feel super blessed to have them in our lives!
My mom asked for a family shot so we headed out to Pisgah Forest where we set the camera on automatic and took a few pics.
We presented Mom with the photo below......we told her after numerous attempts this was the best we could do. I think she was a bit relieved when we gave her a few "different" shots.
It was a long drive back to Kansas and after saying goodbyes and giving hugs we all felt a bit down. Today the high was 10 degrees. So we made soup, put away Christmas decorations, played new games and started a new book. Settling back into routine. I put up a new calendar and for whatever reason I always like doing that! Looking forward to what God has for us in 2015!
