Owen had his final flag football game last Friday.  He learned so much about the game and really enjoyed the season!  We had a great coach and Owen said he would definitely play the sport again.

Here he is at the team's pizza party getting his awards from the coach.
This is Owen's school picture.  He decided to have his redone and was up early "gelling" up his hair.

I have to laugh at this little jet.  Owen and I went to the thrift store one day and he wanted to buy this tiny model in a box and I said, "No, because there are so many tiny parts, and I knew he had not read the box because you would have to use model glue to assemble it."  He came back to me all teared up and said, "Mom, it is my allowance money and if I make the choice to buy this plane then I should get to have the choice because it is my money."  I said, "Point taken, but can I just say I think it will be $4.00 wasted because Dad and I don't have the time to help and it is a very difficult model to assemble."  Owen replied, "I can do it, I will prove it to you."  I told him I would make him a deal.  "If you put it together I will actually give you back the $4.00 you spent on it, IF you don't get it put together you owe me a one page letter on what you learned from this experience."  "DEAL MOM."
So he came home ripped that box open and said, "Mom, it doesn't click together like I thought it would."  "Son, did you read the box?"  "No, I thought it just clicked together."  "Hmmmmmm, I said." Well, this kid cried a little and then said, I'll still prove it to you, do we have some tape?"
He worked on this thing for hours and using only tape put that darn thing together.  He wasn't able to put on every part but by golly I think he did a pretty good job!  I was quite impressed and thought what a resourceful kid!  He proved it to me and yes......I owe him $4.00!
and a picture of Meg's birthday!

This week is a bit stressful. We rotate between praying, cleaning, appointments, inspections more praying, more cleaning more inspections.  This too shall pass!  That's what Mimi always says!
