Weekly Round-Up

We headed to Congaree National Park for a walk.

I found Owen this dress jacket while I was out thrifting for $5.00!!  Here he is modeling it!! He was excited because on certain school days he has to wear a tie or a sports jacket and now he has one!

First piping gig in a long time!!  We played downtown Columbia at the Soda City Market.

My Mother's Day gift!  A new cruiser!!  Super excited about this.  Meg and I are out every night!
Meg test riding it!

I snapped this photo of Owen heading into work for his first day on the job!
He came home with his new outfit.  We laughed so hard. It think its the tank that gets me.... that or the visor.

He gave us his best lifeguard poses.

Our summer is off to a great start!

Fieldtrip and a Hike

I volunteered to be a chaperone on Meg's 7th grade field trip.
We decided to follow the bus so we could enjoy a quite ride together.
And we are off!
Here we are making our way down to the Black River.
Ready to go!  Meg and I got to paddle together in a kayak.
It was so beautiful and peaceful and so much fun!

It was a great experience! I loved it!  Cool mom shout out in this pic for wearing the fanny pack!
The Black River was located about 1.5 hours away.  We drove through very rural areas.  This barn in the middle of nowhere had a lot to say.
Here is another one. A sermon on the side of a barn.
Meg back in the saddle. Meg had her first riding lesson since arriving at our new location.  She enjoyed it and some barrel racing might be in her future!
We headed to Poinsett State Park located just about 20 minutes from us.  It was beautiful.
Getting ready to hike the Knot Trail. I love how this photo was able to capture Owen's excitement.

Owen contemplating which sub he will get at Subway after the hike.
Meg my photographer.

Meg and I saw this quote and liked it!
and that wraps up another week.  Countdown is on until school is out!  Two weeks left....Summer we are ready for you!

Reber Round-Up

I WON!!!  That's right I won a contest at our local commissary!  I was so excited I could hardly make it from the mailbox to the house!  This thrilled me!

Meg leaves me messages on this board in our garage.  She also writes me a little treasure called, "Meg's Column" and it brings me so much joy!
Owen's last track meet.  This was a new rodeo for us and in the end shin splints and runner's knee took Owen out of the last few events.  We learned a lot and I was proud of Owen for giving it a try.  This was his face knowing he still had to run the 3200.
While Owen and I were at the meet Pascal and Meg had a dinner date out!
Everything is blooming here and Meg's allergies are also in full bloom.
Our dear friends from Arizona sent me these handmade quilted items.  We met them over 10 years ago and still stay in touch!  They are super special to us!
I saw these unique journals you can have custom made on Etsy. I know Meg would love one of these.  I think this might be a future Christmas gift!  They are personalized and look like antique books.  I just have to think of what the title would be.  Free Spirit*Old Soul is in the running as a title.
Pipes are back!  Pascal and I are back piping with the very band that we started with 20 years ago!  And a few are same people are still there. We are all a little greyer these days!!

Saw this little family crossing the road on my run this morning.
Received this phone book in the mail today.  I didn't even know they still made these!
This was the car in front of me today and it made me smile.
We are trying out a new place for Meg to take horseback riding lessons stay tuned.  We went out there yesterday and it was a true adventure.
