Week in Review

We've been hard at work on the house  Here are a few before shots.
Our renter broke the glass out of our stove.

It was hard to see it like this

a bad window in the front

And after some elbow grease, sweat and hard work....
We all worked hard... we cleaned, we ripped up carpet, we painted...

She cleaned up well and she is ready to sell!  Prayers appreciated for a quick sell.

Easter package from Switzerland!!  Thank you P'tite Mom!
 Letters from friends!
 Pascal digging in
Our chocolate suffered from the Charleston heat but nothing a little time in the freezer can't fix.
Fun times in our driveway!

Meg makes Owen sign a contract saying he will play what she wants if she plays hockey with him.
Owen agreed to play whatever Meg wanted for each time she scored.   This fired Meg up and she scored 6 times!!

I saw where Dick Hoyt was speaking on post and I was super excited!!  We were so blessed to hear this teams testimony!  Dick and his son's story will blow your mind.
They have run 257 Triathlons
6 Ironmans
22 Duathlons
72 Marathons
97 Half Marathons
over a 1000 races together!  Their message is "Yes You Can!"
The kids I came away from his message totally touched!  They loved his message and story what a blessing to meet Mr. Hoyt

I was sad I didn't get a picture with him myself.  Meg said, " mom, that man is a powerhouse!"
Go Team Hoyt!!
Enjoy the video below of Team Hoyt!

Team Reber Re-Count

The kids made book reports in mint tins a few weeks back.

They each decorated their tin and then did a little mini report to put inside.

So Meg got all of us hooked on this show:
She LOVES it and so do we!  We are all glued to the TV.   It took me a few episodes but once you get to know the contestants you start to cheer for one and the challenges are crazy!!  I think Meg has a little "bakers" heart.  She just adores this show!!
Goodwill finds.  I found this shirt and thought it would be perfect for my brother.  I love the velcro cape.  He is always dressing up for something so I thought he could add this one to his collection.
Meg saw a heart cloud but they moved by the time she grabbed the camera.  She said, "look Mom God is sending us some love."
We have been working super hard at the house.   Those are paint samples on the wall.  All carpet is gone!
 And bamboo floors are gone.
 Good bye 80's style mirrors
Good bye flooring

 New carpet!  New Paint!!

Pascal put out the flag and the house is really looking better.  The carpet and new hardwoods have already been put in.
